Our Mission
Hope Fleet International is a Christian, non-profit, humanitarian organization.
We sail essential supplies, services, and hope to the children who need it most.
Our Story
Hope Fleet was launched in 2019 in response to the needs of vulnerable children living in the Caribbean and Latin America who lack essential supplies, medicine, and education needed for a healthy and full life. The vision was to see a fleet of sailing vessels bringing supplies and volunteers to hard-to-reach communities.
Five years on Hope Fleet is now operating in seven Caribbean communities and not only utilizes our own sailing vessel but has evolved a community of private boaters who are using their own vessels and skills to help change the lives of the children in the communities they visit.
Success is best achieved as a team.
Everything we do fits into these four categories:
Our Focus
Child Wellbeing
We sail essential supplies, services, and hope to the children who need it most. We believe that if we work together, every forgotten child can receive the care they need.
Community Development
Helping a child today might mean bringing them food, or building them a home to help them survive. Helping a child tomorrow means building up the community they live in.
Disaster Response
Fleet prepares in the calm before the storm so that we’re ready to respond when natural disasters like hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes wreak havoc on island nations.
Anti-Human Trafficking
Hope Watch brings Human Trafficking awareness and resources to the international boating community. It also provides a safe way for mariners to make reports whether they are docked, or on international waters.
Our Approach
Sustainable change is best achieved by empowering the local community. Bringing supplies, volunteers, and other critical resources to our locally-led mission partners allows them to have a greater impact and care for more children and families in their communities. This is why most of our operations are in partnership with local churches, schools, children’s homes, etc.
We implement creative, alternative solutions to maximize our impact because every penny counts. For example, partnering with private boaters to deliver critical aid means that money that normally would be allocated to commercial shipping can instead be used to further our reach and connect more resources where they are needed.
We are a Christian organization dedicated to being inclusive. As such, we work with and serve people of all faiths and of none. We want everyone to feel comfortable joining our operations. Please see our statement of faith.
We find local partners who are serving their communities and develop ways to empower and support them.
Largely, how we accomplish our work is by connecting the international boating community to volunteer and transport necessary supplies.
