Don is a native of Vermont and received a degree in Marketing from the University of Vermont.
He had a lengthy marketing career with Sears both in the retail division and financial services, when Allstate Insurance, Coldwell Banker Real Estate, Dean Witter Financial Services, and Sears Savings Bank became financial kiosks in over 300 Sears stores.
He moved with his family to Sarasota in 1993 where he established his own Training and Development business and later pursued other marketing and sales assignments.
Don is currently the Marketing Director for the Alderman Oaks Retirement Center in Downtown Sarasota and Alderman Oaks LifeCare Services.
In addition to his responsibilities with Alderman Oaks, he is often involved with marketing consulting assignments encompassing both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
Don currently is a board member of the Universal Design Coalition and the Suncoast Cannabis Coalition. He also has been actively involved for the past few years planning and marketing educational events with the Downtown Sarasota Condo Association.
