Light in the Darkness Foundation is at work in Quito, Ecuador. The ministry serves children who are at risk of being trafficked and provides a place to learn about true love, which is the love of Jesus Christ.
Current operations include an education center where the children have access to computers and internet to complete their schooling requirements. We provide a campus pastor, tutors, psychological care, medical care assistance, breakfast and lunch for the children and their families.

OUR HISTORY
LIGHT IN DARKNESS FOUNDATION – QUITO, ECUADOR
The Luz en Tinieblas Foundation is a social services foundation serving the local community. Its goals include social support, protection, and access to fundamental rights by implementing plans, projects, programs, actions, training, and support that promote the well-being of children and adolescents in the second sphere of vulnerability.
Dan and Gina Weston arrived in Ecuador in 2018 to work in the fight against human sex trafficking. After seeing the diverse needs in Quito’s Colonial Quarter, they worked to establish a nonprofit foundation with the goal of providing preventive opportunities for children and young adults at risk of entering the world of trafficking.
Currently, the foundation has 50 beneficiaries, with a projected increase to 200 over the next two years through educational programs and community service. Each year, missionaries from different parts of the United States visit the facility to verify the project’s scope and allocate funds for its sustainability.
We live and work in a world filled with darkness, where the decisions of others can have a very negative impact on those around them, especially children. Here, we strive to shine light into this dark world, sharing the love of Jesus Christ with all who walk through our doors, reflecting in our lives the example of having a living God.
