Kim James and Holly Dykema are cofounders of the Stroke Association of Florida (SAF). Kim is Executive Director and Holly is Program Director.
The mission of the Stroke Association of Florida is to reduce the incidence and impact of stroke by educating the community about stroke risks, prevention, signs and symptoms and to provide local resource referrals to stroke survivors and their caregivers.
To provide a “one-stop” information center for stroke survivors, caregivers, support group leaders, healthcare professionals and the community through our Resource Guide, website and educational materials. To become a recognized source of stroke awareness, education, information and support in the community. To reduce the occurrence and the devastating effect of stroke by directly touching the lives of the people in our community with a network of volunteers and strong local partnerships. To provide support group leaders a forum to share their ideas through seminars and symposiums.
